The simple truth about FOOD!

You can’t beat nature!

A Paleo diet is well balanced in both animal protein and vegetables.  Everything you find on the approved list has one ingredient.. itself.  There is nothing processed or chemical ridden.  In fact the majority of the products you will find at your local supermarket will all have red flags.

Always be thinking about how mother nature intend us to be eating.  I am sure she never had high-fructose corn syrup in mind when she developed natural sweetners.  Modified this and modified that never came into food design until we started to play around with our foods.

Where has all this meddling got us… FAT and DISEASE ridden.  Our genetics have been around since the beginning of time but modern foods with all their barely pronounceable words have only really been in the market for about 50 years.  In this time, rates of cancer and disease have sky rocketed and ever since high fructose corn syrup found its way into almost everything our obesity levels have become devastating.

Your body was designed to eat from the earth, nothing complicated.  When we start to ingest toxins and chemicals our body doesn’t know what to do with it and tries to fight it, often taking time out of regular maintenance and repair to fend off the offending substances.  By ingesting these toxins we are encouraging disease in our own bodies, depleting our immune systems and setting the stage for disaster.

It’s easier than you think to make changes.  Start today by making a consious effort to read food labels and even restrict your shopping to the outskirts.  Yes it will take some getting used to but it will be easier and easier.

Get a copy of the Paleo Cookbook, it also comes with a 2month meal plan so you don’t even have to think about what you are cooking.  And by the time you are done the 2months you can just start it again, I bet you won’t even remember what you ate for your first meal.

  1. A plan for healthy living diet should consist of the consumption of many fruits and vegetables but also a lot of lean protein in your meal plan.

About the Recipes

All the recipes you see on my site are made up by me, unless otherwise stated. I love to experiment in the kitchen and as you can see my photo's are not all fancy, they are usually taken with my phone just as I am about to dish up. These are real tried and true recipes that work, if they didn't I wouldn't post it. I hope you enjoy my cooking as much as I do.
