Paleo Banana Bread

I could cut and paste this recipe but Juli at PaleOMG deserves the props for this!  As a paleo food blogger I am constantly gathering inspiration from all over the web, Paleo and non Paleo.  Juli’s recipes are great and she is an absolute riot!  I LOVE cake!!!! Absolutely my #1 weakness, so when I saw this recipe for banana bread french toast I was literally frothing at the mouth just by looking at her pics.

I recently fed this to a bunch of ladies who came over the other night for an Arbonne party; by the way that shit is seriously amazing!!!! Have a party and get the deals, it’s expensive but it actually works! (and no I do not get kick backs from promoting Arbonne I just really believe in sharing things that are awesome, hence I have a paleo food blog!)  Beside the point, one of the ladies had to bring her two daughters, one of whom is a carboholic and she did not notice the difference (she ate 3 slices and they were BIG)

Below are my pics and alterations I made to the recipe.


I didn’t have walnut oil so I just used a little olive oil.  I also used my VitaMix dry container (not my food processor) and made a cashew/almond butter rather than a nut meal.  If you do this add the olive oil into the mixer to help things blend along.  Alternately you could use the suggested amounts of nuts in nut butter from your local grocer. (I would use slightly less as 1C cashews would be a little less blended into butter)

I also used maple syrup in place of honey.

All the recipes you see on my site are made up by me, unless otherwise stated. I love to experiment in the kitchen and as you can see my photo's are not all fancy, they are usually taken with my phone just as I am about to dish up. These are real tried and true recipes that work, if they didn't I wouldn't post it. I hope you enjoy my cooking as much as I do.
